Playdough Play: Storytelling With Stampers
A few months ago I spotted a set of Melissa & Doug alphabet stampers on another blog and fell in love with them. The only problem is that I can't stand stampers with ink as they just end up getting mucky, stained and the ink goes everywhere! I decided to make some scented playdough for The Boy instead to stamp onto.

I'm very excited to be joining the Tuesday Tutorials Pin Party team; a wonderful linky which runs every Tuesday for instruction based posts of some kind, usually crafts, recipes or learning through play opportunities. The linky opens every Tuesday where I will share posts from the previous week's linky on a chosen theme.

Sunday 22nd February 2015
There's a problem with rainbows. As beautiful as they are, they occur when you're caught in between sunlight and rain. So while they look amazing, they usually signal the advent of wetness. And this one in particular did, which was a shame as we were a hundred yards down a pebble beach well away from the steps and refuge of our car.
But that's the fun of outdoor play.

Welsh Cakes
It's fast approaching St. David's Day (1st March) and one of my favourite delicacies at this time of year are Welsh cakes. There's nothing better than chomping down on a homemade, soft, currant-ladened, spiced Welsh cake; even better if it's still warm and straight from the bakestone.

Birthday Presents: Why I Agree With Myleene Klass
I've followed Myleene Klass on twitter and Instagram for quite a while now, and her no nonsense photos and tweets make me chuckle. Yes, she's a very glamorous lady with an enviable figure and a celebrity lifestyle, but she's also a mum who seems not afraid to call a spade a spade. Something I admire in people.
So when I saw this tweet from her the other day containing a screenshot of an email from schoolmums requesting money as a present for one of her daughter's classmates' birthday party, I was shocked. Apparently the two birthday girls would like a Kindle and a writing desk ("both educational") so money to purchase these would be greatly appreciated.
Myleene's reply was spot-on, telling the original senders that they should contribute to her daughter's desired present of a unicorn and that they could donate at www.getwhatyouregivenandendthismadness.com.
