Days 257 – 263 of Project 365

Days 257 - 263 of Project 365

257. Sailing the ocean waves (On the barrage there is a beautiful pirate-themed sand park with great play equipment. The sunset was astoundingly beautiful.)

258. Wheeee! (My brother has returned from Australia for a very short trip for a family-in-law party, and I was able to spend an hour or so with him at my sister's house. This is a moment of calm in the huge garden my sister has – 170ft long!)

259. Downfall (Rubbish day. After-school game before bedtime.)

260. Conker Collector (A sunny day today, in more ways than one as it was my half day so I was able to pick The Boy up from school and expand our conker collection.)

261. Crack (Time to open them all up and be the first person in the world to ever see that conker.)

262. New! (I am so completely and uttely excited by our new car! We intended to get on a couple of years old, but for the same amount we were able to get a brand new car from Vauxhall as they are selling off the last of their Zafira model. See My Sunday Photo for more.)

263. Tree-hugger (We've been trying to get to a National Trust place near Bristol for a few weeks now, failing magnificently. A slow morning and horrendous traffic getting out of Cardiff meant that we arrived at Dyrham Park mid-afternoon rather than at lunchtime, but it was well worth it. I think this might become one of our new favourite places, the woodland and incredibly tame deer, combined with the beautiful gardens were enough to console us with the fact that we missed going in the building as it had closed twenty minutes beforehand.)

All about the editing on it Tas πŸ˜‰ Actually I was a bit miffed to find 6.8 miles on the clock when I went to test drive it as the mechanic had done safety checks.

I love my sister's garden, I'm constantly asking her to get a zip wire along the length of it; can you imagine one 150 ft long?!

They are my favourite photos too, especially because they're outdoor shots. It feels a real sense of achievement that we're now at the point in our lives where we can afford to own a new car; hard work pays off.

I adore Autumn, it's a wonderful time of year for capturing photos in the golden hour (sunny hour before dusk when the light is really warm).

Thank you, it was a beautiful late afternoon the barrage; this time of year is great for golden hour in photography.

My newest one before had been 2.5 years old, I've always been one to believe there's no point in buying a brand new car because you lose value as soon as you drive it off the forecourt. But the deal was too good not to.

Another great selection of photos. The sunset one is absolutely stunning, and I also love the tree hugging one. And yay for new cars! Although I warn you, once you've owned a brand-new car you may never want a second hand one again!

Love the tree hugging photo, and the first one. That looks like a great set of play equipment.

We need to go conker collecting, although did find a few today (all fallen out of the cases already)

love the tree hugger photograph, and that swing set looks great fun. What are your plans for the conkers?
I would worry if I bought a new car that somebody would bash it or scratch it and that would annoy the hell out of me, but glad you like it.

Aww so lucky to have a brand new car! I would love that, I'm desperate for a new car at the moment, not much wrong with mine but it's getting old! I like the third photo of the boy concentrating on his game, it must be nice and calm with just him…. bedtimes in my house are a raucous affair lol πŸ˜‰ xx
