      He was so excited. At first he kept crying as he thought he wasn't managing it but then we showed him a video of him cycling and there was no stopping him!

      Me too! I'm so pleased with capturing the exact moment that Mr. TBaM let go, but I almost missed it due to watching him with the biggest smile on my face.

      I can't believe that he was, but it transpires he's been playing with the balance bikes in school and he just managed to do this so quickly.

      It really did! My dad suggested we get one of those when we bought it for him 18 months ago and I'm grateful we listened to him. Really helped with the initial independent cycling this weekend.

      He really was! He's been asking for a few weeks now and I didn't think he was ready but he proved me wrong.

    ronnie started to learn at the weekend, not as much confidence as the boy, i think it will take a couple of weeks. what's that you have on the back of the bike? a handle?

    I genuinely had no idea what age that stabilisers were ditched, my eight year old nephew still uses his at the moment (lack of confidence) whereas I know Jenny's Burton has been riding a normal bike for a year.
