365 #41

Welcome to 365 Photo A Day Project linky. This linky covers round-up posts for the week or one of your favourite photos of the week. I've written a post providing tips for completing the project, always ask one of the regulars for help if you're stuck.

The 365 linky only works because of people linking to it and then contributing their thoughts to others' posts via comments. I can't emphasise this enough, it's the whole point of the linky!

Join in by entering the URL of your favourite photograph of the week (either a 52 or a 365 photo) and show some comment love to everyone else in the community. We've got a Facebook group, and now I've created a collaborative Pinterest board (if you'd like to collaborate, let me know and I'll add you).

  1. Choose your favourite photo from the past week and link it up below.
  2. Please add the badge to your linked-up post so that other people know how to find all the other fabulous entries.
  3. If you can spare five minutes to comment on a few other entries I know they'd appreciate it!

Autumn Treasure Bag

Autumn is a wonderful time of year to get out and about, enjoying nature and all the treasures the season brings. During the month of September, we are forever scavenging for conkers and acorns, finding colourful leaves and spotting squirrels, with our pockets fit to bursting with the fruits of our labour.

When we were recently sent some crafting materials as part of the Bostik Bloggers' Challenge, we decided the most appropriate thing for us would be to make an Autumn Treasure Bag in order to make collecting conkers etc. easier.

Why We Don't Have Passports

Before we had The Boy we used to regularly enjoy mini-breaks in European cities several times a year. Barcelona and Prague were our favourites as they were such centres for culture, full of beautiful buildings, good food and wonderful weather. We went to both three times and I can't wait to go back there again.

The only problem is that our passports expired 18 months ago and we have no plans to renew them.

Celebrating Grandparents

Flowers

We're incredibly lucky to have my mum so close, helping us out and being a really rather awesome mother.

And Nana.

She is a fabulous Nana who loves her grandchildren without discrimination, she would do anything for them.

And that's why there was a ring at the door at 7.30 this morning. She'd taken home The Boy's new school coat to put elastic around the hood to keep his poor ears protected in this weather, been woken up early by the storm, and broken out her sewing basket there and then. Then she'd dressed and driven over to return the coat so he could wear it for a walk to the church today for our Harvest festival.

See what I mean?

A Yankee Candles Guide

During the Summer months the air is full of wonderful aromas and fragrances which are indicative of the season; freshly cut grass, fruit salads, flowers, and even barbecues. Windows are flung open to welcome the scents of laundry drying in the blazing heat; it is glorious!

Autumn arrives with the scent of chestnuts, dry and crunchy leaves, and a coolness in the air.

And then comes Winter.

Natural aromas in the air aren't so forthcoming and, certainly in my house, the indoors begins to smell musty and stale. A little helping hand is needed.
