It's that time of year again when the spectacular that is Disney On Ice takes to arenas around Britain to showcase some of the best choreography set to the familiar and comforting world of magical, childhood music. This year is the Silver anniversary commemorating a wonderful 25 years of magical ice-dancing, and the show this year will see Mickey and Minnie Mouse take audiences to four far-away lands in one action-packed ice adventure: the African Pride Lands with The Lion King's Simba, Timon and Pumbaa; voyage deep under the sea to The Little Mermaid's mystical underwater kingdom; tour London with Peter Pan and Wendy before flying to Neverland to join Tinker Bell and the lost boys; before being whisked away to the wintery wonderland of Frozen's Arendelle for an extraordinary adventure with Anna and Elsa.
We were lucky enough to go to last year's show with The Boy and my mum, and all three generations were entranced by the choreography and story-telling. This year's Silver Anniversary Celebration was created by a team of industry experts known for their ability to convey the movements and designs needed to bring each Disney destination to life; from choreogaphers for World and Olympic champions to Academy Award winning musical production designers, the experience and dramatic flair that these experts bring make the show truly a fantastic spectacle.
Disney On Ice's Silver Anniversary Edition will be visiting seven cities across the UK from 16th March to 15th May; Liverpool, Birmingham, London, Cardiff, Glasgow, Leeds and Nottingham.
