Days 215 – 221 of Project 365

Days 215 - 221 of Project 365

215. Farmer The Boy (It was a happy boy who got to drive the tractor for the first feed run of the week during our annual holiday to Coombe Mill.)

216. Eye Spy (We visited the National Trust manor house Trerice today as it has threatened rain, in the end it was brilliant sunshine!)

217. Catch A Crab Upon The Toe (A trip to Padstow Harbour yielded us three crabs and two shrimp, huzzah!)

218. Baywatch (No he's not trying to do a David Hasselhoff impression, he's running away from daddy who's trying to grab him to try some more bodyboarding at Polzeath beach.)

219. Three Little Boys (Jenny from Mummy Mishaps came to visit us today with the boys, and they all had great fun mucking about on the river.)

220. Rafting (We took part in the now annual raft race at Coombe Mill, which involves creating a raft from purely organic materials and then racing it down the river. All the families take part and it's great fun.)

221. Juicy (Our last few hours at Coombe Mill and we needed to get rid of our unused food before leaving, so we went to do our own 'feed run'. Clementine the donkey absolutely adored the pears and apples we gave her, taking over ten minutes to suck the pear juice out with a look of sheer bliss on her face the entire time!)

Looks like you had an amazing time, which one did you stay in this time?
I really must visit in the summer as the summer activities look so much fun – love the Padstow pic too!
We have been trying without much success to teach Isaac how to body board too – trouble is it has been too calm here really

I love the fact that you sorted the loom bands first, I bought a box the other day and had to rearrange the colours into spectrum order before anything else could happen. I couldn't agree more that a mix of days out and dossing around the house days are so important for the Summer holidays; it's the stuff of childhood memories.

Thanks for linking up to Project 365.

Always look forward to seeing what you get up to at Coombe Mill – looks brilliant as ever. I refuse to belive that's not a Bay watch photo (mainly because I want it to be!)

The weather was superb, I'm so pleased we went last week and not this week! Mind you, at Coombe Mill you just make the best of a bad lot if it rains; there's so much to do there.

Every picture of Coombe Mill shows off how fabulous it is, but it can never truly share the magic which you can only experience being immersed in it.

It's the one thing that we really look forward to every year, pay off a bit each month to make it more affordable. We decided this was our best ever holiday as a family.

    • TheBoyAndMe says

Oh you must experience Coombe Mill once, although once you've been bitten then you'll never go anywhere else!

Well the week of the year in pictures for me! Each one tells a happy day on holiday. What a wonderful week it was and The Boy is featuring in a few of my posts over the coming weeks on the back of it all too. Missing you all already!

I've holiday envy. This is our favourite place. I've been looking to book for Easter next year as Harry has only been for a day trip and will love it.

    Such happy photos

Oh it is a wonderful place, once you've stayed then you'll never want to go anywhere else again. Easter is a very popular time with Fiona I believe.

love the running away from daddy laughing as he goes. Love the clear bucket, not seen one of them before. How lucky to get the first tractor ride of the week. Great to meet up with Jenny and the boys. Did you win the raft race?

We had such a lovely day together and he does enjoy spending time with Jenson and Burton, thanks for coming down. I like the running in the waves photo too.

I secretly want to have a go, but I think I might be over the height limit and Farmer Nick might veto it 😉

Lovely to see The Boy having such fun at Coombemill, and I love the shot of him with Burton and Jenson. Fab! Great action shot running through the water, looks like he's having a great time 🙂 Sorry for being so late, I am so behind on my commenting! Finishing last week before I start this week… x
