Earlier in the week I texted Mr. TheBoyandMe and asked if The Boy was buying or making me a card. The reply was most indignant as he was buying the equipment to make it at the time. Yesterday morning, The Boy and daddy sat down to make the card and this morning I was presented with this little beauty. Mr. TBaM stuck the pipe cleaners on only, the rest is all from The Boy.
And inside, he'd written his name perfectly spelt.
But you'll have to take my word for that…

So cute! I love the face! π Happy Mother's Day
I look just like it!
That is absolute gorgeous! I got two, one made at nursery and one made by Daddy on Funky Pigeon with a picture of me and Sausage on it! I also got a clay pot that she'd made and painted herself in pink and purple. Best Mother's Day ever! xx
They sound fab! I had one from playgroup as well but I was quite unimpressed with it, he hadn't been given the opportunity to write his name or wave a pencil at the inside and he can actually write his name.
This one had it written inside in BIG letters!
I had hoped for a homemade card if I am honest but at least I got a card so i mustn't complain!
Your boy is a great artists n the making and it looks very much like you π
(ps. Did he write mummy then aswell? ) xx
I hope you had a wonderful day x
He didn't write mummy but daddy wrote the letters out and he matched them up from the stickers on the sheet. I think it's an excellent likeness, especially the highlights π
lovely card…he's very artistic
Thanks very much missus!
awww thats lovely. I love homemade cards they are the best π x
I need to get a pretty shoe-box to store them all in, I suspect I'll have a few over the years!
That's so lovely. The homemade ones are by far the best. I keep all Amy's cards. She made me one at school and it's gorgeous!
CJ x
This means so much more than the bought ones.
That is brilliant! Clever boy :0) Handmade cards are most definitely the best. Happy Mother's Day chick xx
He was so proud of it as well.
Perfect! Definitely the best kind of card
Thank you
wow well done to the boy. K made me at least three cards and buster scribbled on his!
Three cards is very enthusiastic!
Well done, clever boy. I am hoping to be as clever as you are when i am older as i am still too young to make cards for my Mummy yet!
Just make sure that daddy realises he needs to help you do it!
At last we have a picture of you. I'll know who to look out for when we eventually meet ;-D
I'll make sure my hair is styled the same.
Stunning likeness π And yes indeed, it is the thought and the effort that counts far more than a snatched from the shelf Hallmark card.
You can never find a perfect Hallmark card anyway, this is so much better!
Gorgeous cards, I love handmade ones and was thrilled that poppy made me something at Schoolx
It's so lovely isn't it? The first of many to come.
Aww that's gorgeous, I feel that these make being a mummy worthwhile x
Without a shadow of a doubt!
Love looking back at the truckloads of awesome things my little crafters have made over the years. Be sure to scan and save them as a nice record of their development for them to laugh at in later years!!
I'm going to start scanning them in and keeping a record of them, but also put them into a nice shoebox type thing!
