Treetop Adventure Golf, Cardiff (Review)

We try to get out in the fresh air as much as possible, but sometimes it's not always achievable, especially if it's a little bit too fresh! We had a bank of 'go-to' entertainment venues which we frequented during inclimant weather, but as The Boy gets older, our needs have changed. We had spotted that there was a new golf course open in the centre of Cardiff, but as it was in St. David's 2 shopping centre's car park I wasn't entirely sure how it worked and what it would be like.

Treetop Adventure Golf is actually a very clever use of an area of the popular car park which was rarely used, and provides an afternoon's entertainment for all the family.

Ripley's 'Believe It Or Not' (Review & Giveaway)

Ripley's 'Believe It, or Not'

That's quite a confusing image at first, but step back and view it from afar.

What do you see?

You should see President Obama in a black and white image. Up close it's clear that the image is made from words, in fact the words are from his inaugural speech at his first term of office. This is just one of the impressive exhibits in Ripley's 'Believe It, or Not' which we were invited to visit during the Summer holidays.

LolliBop 2014 – An Exciting Line-Up

As one of the top children's festivals around, LolliBop offers something for every child. We have been for the past two years and it remains the best day trip we have during the Summer holidays, mainly because of the huge range of activities and shows that The Boy can take part in and watch, all in one day!

This year sees LolliBop in a new home, Hatfield House in Hertfordshire. The new venue is completely befitting such a magical event and will be the perfect place to watch the wonderful line-up planned.

How To Make Car Journeys Easier!

I love Spring and Summer, not least of all because of the fun weekends away we have interspersed with holidays around our fine country. We don't go further than around three hours away, and while I'd like to blame that on The Boy, it's actually me that is a dreadful traveller.

When Butlin's sent us an emergency travel kit to aid 'the long and whining road', I chuckled. There are some PR pitches which are spot on quite frankly, and this is one of them.

Bank Holiday Treats (Review)

Bank Holidays are a tradition in Britain, which usually involves an awful lot of praying to the weather gods for no rain, and possibly even a few hours of sunshine.

More importantly, it provides families the chance to have an extended period of time together; a precious extra twenty-four hours where homework, and ironing the school uniform, and packed lunches can be forgotten about for just one more day. Where Sunday night doesn't bring groans, sighs and tantrums.

And one of the best parts of the whole thing? Is the food.

The Eden Project (Review)

When we holidayed in Cornwall last month with family, the one place that we simply had to visit was The Eden Project. As it had been two years since our last visit, we were keen to explore any changes that might have been made, as well as exploring the different flora in late Winter as opposed to the peak of Summer.

We weren't disappointed.
