#49: Find A Geocache
At the grand old age of 4&¾, The Boy has accomplished 37 of the '50 Things To Do Before You're 11&¾' tasks created by the National Trust; a list designed to get children outdoors doing the fresh-air things which children should be doing in the most innocent years of their lives. The range of tasks very much encourages children to step away from technology and embrace their 'natural childhood', however there is one that does involve technology and that is geocaching.
On a wet and grey Sunday a fortnight ago, we decided to try it out for the first time with The Boy.
Healthy Snacks for a Play Date (Guest Post)
Make play dates tasty and fun with these delicious and nutritious healthy snacks for your little ones.
Dipping fruits
Make a “child fondue” with a bowl of natural yoghurt drizzled with honey, and surround it with a selection of dipping fruits; strawberries, apple slices, orange segments, sliced banana and grapes. Children love to get involved with their food, and it’s a fantastic way of getting them to eat more fruit in a fun and interactive way. 'We're Going On A Bear Hunt' 25th Anniversary
One of our favourite books to read with The Boy is 'We're Going On A Bear Hunt' by Michael Rosen and Helen Oxenbury. My mum bought a very special pop-up edition for his first Christmas, which we kept safe until he was old enough to explore the moving parts and enjoy it properly.

A Balmy Easter Monday
We're so lucky where we live.
So lucky to have miles upon miles of glorious coastline; swathes of golden sand, mounds of perfectly elliptical pebbles, an abundance of rock pools populated with crazy creatures, and a vast tidal range allowing for hours spent on the beach.
Enjoying childhood.
Scoop Ice-Cream Parlour (Butlin's)
One of the aspects of our holidays in Butlin's that we enjoy most is the food. There is a wide range of restaurants to choose from during the week there is something to suit all tastes and ages. We tend to eat in a different restaurant each night and I can honestly say that we've never had a bad meal.
One recent addition to the eateries at the Bognor Regis resort is Scoop, an ice-cream parlour serving real Italian gelato.
