The Best Of Project 365 – 2014

I have completed the 365 Project for the past four years; taking a photo a day, every day, for an entire year.

Only I couldn't stop!

The photography project is so compelling for me because I enjoy looking back to see the things that we've been up to during the year. It's so easy to forget about all the lovely days out to the beach, weekend breaks to our favourite places and fun holidaying in our home-from-home, and that's why I keep taking part in Project 365.

I set a challenge to the other participants to identify 12 favourites photos from the year. How hard can it be to choose one favourite photo from each month during the year though? Out of 365 posts?

The answer is very difficult indeed!

Top row: January – Feeding the swans at the nature reserve; February – A holiday at Coombe Mill

March – Sunglasses & Winter coat at the beach; April – Bare legs at a different beach!

May – Back to the nature reserve; June –  Birthday cake time;

July – Penguins in Folly Farm; August – Sandcastles at another beach;

September – Tree-hugging at the National Trust's Dyrham Park; October – Pumpkin harvesting;

November – Just hanging about with the cousin; December – Peppa Pig World finally!

Summit Walking Boots – Hotter Shoes (Review)

A few months ago I was sent a pair of Winter walking boots from Hotter Shoes. They knew how much we are an all weather family, and that my trainers were hugely inadequate for the task of chasing after a five year old boy in the squelching mud and golden sands of south Wales.

I'd love to be able to show you a decent photograph of the Summit walking boots before I started using them, but I was ever so slightly impatient to test them out.

The Adventures Of Puss In Boots (Netflix)

Saturday nights have taken on a new role in our family over the last few months. Thanks to the magical pizza-making skills of The Boy and Mr. TBaM and the wonders of Netflix, Saturday nights are now movie nights!

It is absolutely guaranteed with Netflix that we will find a family film to watch together while chomping down on freshly baked, handmade pizzas, and we are working our way through the selection of animated films available. Due to The Boy's extreme sensitivity to anything vaguely malevolent in films, we've had to build up his tolerance levels to be able to enjoy Cars but we're getting there.

LG MusicFlow Sound System (Review)

We were recently sent a sound system to review, and I won't lie that my husband's eyes lit up when he saw the delivery. As a result, I've asked him to write the review as he is more technical in these matters than I am!

The boxes in the hallway were the first clue that something interesting was afoot. Arriving in four separate packages, the largest being easily 4 foot long, the LG MusicFlow system that we had been invited to review was difficult to miss!

Fresh Start On The Beach

A few years ago we went to Barry Island on New Year's Day and it was the most glorious day; the sun was shining on a perfect, blue-sky Winter's day. When the 1st January 2015 dawned in a similar style, it was absolutely our destination for some fresh air to blow away the previous year's cobwebs.
