Crochet: Sky Blanket 2016

I've been crocheting up a storm since the beginning of this year and it's fair to say that I have the bug! I also have a stash of yarn to rival Deramores or Wool Warehouse; it was just last week that my sister spotted my hidden stash in the boot of the car, and threatened to stage a 'yarn-tervention' if I didn't cool down! I can't help it, I like the soft squishyness of a new ball of yarn, the textures and colours, and it ends up as something even more pretty and useful: win-win as far as I'm concerned.

Baby Wardrobe Tips

One of the most exciting times for any new mum or dad is getting the chance to finally dress your baby in all those clothes you excitedly bought during pregnancy.

This, of course, is usually swiftly followed by the realisation that all the clothes you bought during those nine long months are utterly impractical for one reason or another.

Hexbug Nano V2 (Review)

Over the past few years, I've spotted the craze that is Hexbugs and debated buying a set for my son. Recently, he was sent a Hexbug Nano V2 set to review, and this was perfect timing to find out whether to invest in expansion packs for Christmas or not.

Yankee Candle: Reindeer Carousel Advent Calendar

I'm sure that I'm not the only parent who spends an awful lot of December creating fun activities for their children, building up the excitement of the season and ensuring plenty of enjoyment and memories are created. I don't know about you but The Boy usually has a chocolate advent calendar and then he also has a handmade fabric calendar that I made a few years ago, this one usually has a small gift or an IOU for a christmas craft or activity in it.

I don't have an advent calendar.

But this year I do!

Treetop Adventure Golf, Cardiff (Review)

We try to get out in the fresh air as much as possible, but sometimes it's not always achievable, especially if it's a little bit too fresh! We had a bank of 'go-to' entertainment venues which we frequented during inclimant weather, but as The Boy gets older, our needs have changed. We had spotted that there was a new golf course open in the centre of Cardiff, but as it was in St. David's 2 shopping centre's car park I wasn't entirely sure how it worked and what it would be like.

Treetop Adventure Golf is actually a very clever use of an area of the popular car park which was rarely used, and provides an afternoon's entertainment for all the family.

The 'C' Word

Late last year I went to my GP and discussed with him how I could go about being screened for any possibilities of having cancer in the future. You've heard of the forms you can fill in which then get sent back to genetic research experts who calculate your chances? Well, it was one of those. The people in the correct department obviously felt that I could be a risk as they agreed and sent a form out for me to fill in and return within two-three months.

It's still sat in my kitchen, not filled in.

Why?

Trolley Bags (Review)

I'm a bit of a fiend for reusable shopping bags, in fact my husband thinks that I haven't quite grasped the concept of them because we have so many. My problem is that some of the prettiest or quirkiest ones aren't actually functional! I also use them a lot in school for carrying books and resources back and forth, and corners get bashed.

When I was offered the opportunity to review Trolley Bags recently, I jumped at the chance. Read on and you'll soon see why!
