Over on this post, I sang the praises of the SIGG Aluminium Boxes which we recently received to review.
These sturdy boxes are stylish and versatile. We have used them on a variety of occasions when out and about in the great outdoors, they are splashproof (not tried to immerse them in water, sorry!) and do keep food warm for quite some time. They aren't designed to be insulative, but as they are made from aluminium they tend to work just like aluminium foil.
With click-locks on either end that snap into place very firmly, there's not much chance of accidentally losing your lunch!

These would be fab for the kids lunch boxes, I can't count how many times they've used their school bags as goal posts & their plastic lunch boxes come home broken or if we're lucky just cracked.
