Days 81-87 of Project 365

Days 81-87 of Project 365

81. Wahay, outdor play in the garden! Yes, of course we've played outdoors during the Winter intermittently but this was the first real day of sunny play with just a bodywarmer and no hood! Hurray for Spring.

82. A long day in work again; I was in at 8.15 and home at 8.15, a full 12 hours in school due to parents' evening. Don't anyone try and make out that teaching is a cushy number. Home in time for a delayed bedtime, and within half an hour The Boy had completely turned himself around in bed.

83. Enjoying the news from around the world courtesy of his weekly newspaper 'First News'.

84. After a very successful parents' evening (target: pace. Nothing new there!), we went up the clifftop park for some fresh air and fun.

85. Day off today but I had to go in for Parents' evening between 4 and 8; that properly sucks on your day off! Home in time for another late bath and bedtime. Fake smile time!

86. Huzzah, the end of term! Down the beach for scooting along the pier. Can't wait for two weeks together.

87. The outlaws are visiting for Mr. TBaM's birthday last weekend and Grandma was helping The Boy play giant chess against Daddy. He did actually beat him as well!

Whenever I see a pic of the Boy sleeping I know you've had a long day. But that is looong!! Wow those parent evenings must be absolutely draining. Definitely huzzah for holidays!

I do seem to use that phrase rather a lot don't I? We haven't been out anywhere near as much as I'd like, but life happens!

Ha ha ha, how awesome is that hair! Such a cool fun photo, the boy looks so pleased there! I love that boardwalk shot of him scooting. Where you live looks such a cool place to explore with boys. My two would love it.

We are fortunate to live in a wonderful town with great facilities.

Love your afternoon tea shot, my sister and I have bought our mum vouchers for afternoon tea but we're just waiting for the right time. Hope you had a great time and thanks for linking up to Project 365.

Although this week has been horribly dull, grey and windy! Hoping for some sunshine over the weekend.

Huzzah for holidays indeed. Only four more days here. There are plenty of cobwebs to blow away here but dount it will be as attractive as your clifftop

      • says

Two but just to blow your mind completely it's a state by State thing. Everyone has the long break at Christmas varies a bit after that

Wowsers, this is what has been confusing me. My brother has said about just a few weeks off when I thought you had longer. Very strange. Academic year runs alongside the calendar year as well doesn't it?

Definitely hurrah for the holidays and I fully understand your 12hr day and going on day off pain! At least we have two weeks now, just hope this damn rain stops! As always love your pics of your smiley boy – fake or not – and impressed that he's learning chess πŸ™‚

    • TheBoyAndMe says

I am not entirely sure he understood anything that happened in chess, least of all because I kept adding helpful comments about getting the soldier to ride the horsey πŸ˜‰

    • TheBoyAndMe says

And I really need to start actually doing stuff with him or in a week's time I'll be complaining that we've wasted it!

ours don't break up till Thursday. Love to see wee boys with hair, Bob always looks like a little thug with his skinheads.
I think a lot of us think teaching is a cushy job, but don't care how cushy or well paid it is or is not I could NOT be a teacher, I would want to discipline the horrors and take home the unkept ones.
Look forward to seeing some out and about pics.

    • TheBoyAndMe says

He desperately needs his hair cut but I'm wary as so many hairdressers ruin it. Teaching is not the cushy number people think; I'm in at 8 and home at 6 on the three days I work, with many hours in the evenings too.

  6. says

Teaching? Now that IS a cushty job. Only working 9 till 3, a billion days annual leave..don't get me started on how much they get paid! £££££
Have you punched your screen yet? or you just waiting until the next time you see me?
On a serious note I keep debating putting my photos in a similar format. Any reason you do it like this?

They're my two favourites as well, although I definitely need more outdoor photos.

Thanks for linking up to Project 365.
