Days 1 – 3 of Project 365 (2015)

1-3 of Project 365

A new year of Project 365, my fifth year of taking a photo every day in order to catch the ordinary and every day moments. When I look back over the past 1400+ days worth of photographs, I am instantly reminded of those small moments of tenderness and fun; such precious memories.

1. I Don't Care What The Weather Man Says… (Readers of this blog know full well that we're not at all bothered by the weather, and so why on Earth would 3.5°C stop us from building sandcastles on Barry Island beach on New Year's Day? It was a bit parky mind you.)

2. Silhouette (More beach play today when we met a friend and her daughter at lunchtime in the brilliant sunshine.)

3. Invaders (A quiet day playing today and a quick pop to the shops to pick up a new toy for The Boy that he'd been saving for; it did mean that Chase from Paw Patrol ended up trying to invade the wooden castle along with the robot from outer space. Because he's five.)

I would have mine out more if they were mine, but you try and get them out and they say no and mummy backs that up, it annoys me but hey ho. Love the texture of he sand, and the sky is amazing.
Thta looks like a great fort.

The clouds on that first picture are so dramatic. When we get the chance we build sandcastles whatever the weather, afterall if you don't live near the sea, you have to do it when you can.

Love the reflections in your second photo, such a beautifully clear day!

Thanks for linking up to Project 365 and good luck with the year ahead.

Although we will go for a walk along the beach in the winter we haven't braved making sand castles! It certainly looks like a bit of a stormy sky! Happy New Year to you all!

Lovely pictures, we love going out whatever the weather, in fact slightly miffed that we haven't had a chance to wear our waterproof trousers yet! I love the 3rd pic too, children's imaginations are fab aren't they?! We had Iron Man flying over the Lego Friends Shopping Mall on Boxing Day, checking that everyone was okay before meeting Captain America in the Lego Friends cafe for a snack! x

Your photos make me wish we lived closer to the sea.

Arthur has a similar castle but he's not quite old enough to really play with it properly – I can't wait for him to rediscover it when he is a bit bigger, your photos of The Boy are so lovely 🙂

Who cares about the weather we have been to the beach and out to our local nature park for a walk .. Josh loves the muddy puddles 🙂

Lovely Pics, I think the Beach is always fun whatever the weather and I love how your little man is so wrapped up in his own little world whilst playing with his toys, My Little man is the same but unfortunately putting them away is not his strong point and my bare feet always seem to find them! 🙂

It's cute when they mix toys and you see their imaginations working… everything goes! Awesome silhouette. My wee man is desperate to get to the beach but we are not able to justify a 2 hour drive just yet.

Must be lovely being near to a nice beach. Lots of fun in all weather.

What do you do with all your photos at the end of the year? I have loved taking my photos this year but im not sure whether I should make a wee photo book or something now. X

Quite right about the weather. If I had such a wonderful beach at my disposal I reckon we'd be there come rain or shine too.
The silhouette shot is stunning, and I love the shot with The Boy playing, such wonderful imaginations at this age.
On a side note, congrats on being on your 5th year – that's impressive! x

The silhouette photo is fabulous, but I just adore that first photo. Cold weather doesn't bother us either, although I suspect that the -19C forecast for overnight this week might just keep us inside with a high of -8C the following day… 🙂 Lovely to be back for another year of 365 xx

Hi, not sure what happened to 1st comment. I wanted to say that just because its winter time doesn't mean you can't have fun on the beach and get outdoors. A lovely start to the new year!

Beautiful photo's as ever my love. We managed a trip to the beach on the 29th, I do wish we had one closer so that we could visit more often. That castle looks like an excellent toy for imaginative play. My Lil G would love it. Apologies for the delay, it has been a long week of work. KA

Love the castle! Oh, and I know that five year old no sense of order kind of play thing – especially when Elsa and Anna seem to play with the Moshi Monsters!!
