Apologies for the mediocre week, but it has been one of those dreadful weeks.
75. From Up Here (The Boy has been asking to go to Roath Park for a month or so now, we finally managed to get over there this afternoon. The Boy scampered up the climbing frame which he has been previously very tentative about, never attempting to get above the bottom layer before. However this time he almost reached the top. And yes, my heart was in my mouth the entire time.)
76. No Hallmark Here! (Making daddy's birthday card for later in the week, I'm so impressed with how much he's writing independently nowadays.)
77. Another Warning (I'm getting wary midweek now, and I hope that this is the end of the days when I have to work out why he might be so unenthusiastic. Another calm before the storm, this time with a Springtime shadow.)
78. Clean-Up (Horrendous night of vomit. HORRENDOUS! We ran out of bedding for The Boy and I ended up holding him in my arms all night again. I called in and took it as a carer's day because, quite frankly, sometimes only mummy will do.)
79. Happy Birthday Daddy! (When I came home from school The Boy and I wrapped up Mr. TBaM's birthday presents. The Boy chose to give him some grown-up LEGO, however none of the sets has an age-range higher than 12 years old. We decided to change the age-range appropriately.)
80. Bleugh! (I can't even begin to tell you how rubbish I felt on Friday; I contracted The Boy's stomach bug and spent the entire day in bed or the bathroom. My bedside table held cooled boiled water, boiled and flat lemonade, and dioralyte. Rubbish, RUBBISH DAY!)
81. On The Up? (Both The Boy and I have been feeling better today, however now Mr. TBaM thinks he might have tonsillitis. It never rains, but it pours!)

Oh those climbing frames freak me out! And yes, only mummy will do. I never feel bad taking a day out for poorly kiddies. Hope he's feeling better x
I think it's the fact that I wouldn't be able to get up there and to him quickly enough for my liking, but we have to let them find their own way don't we? I'm very lucky that my boss didn't say anything to me about the day, although I was waiting for a jibe.
I love the fact you changed the age on the Lego π lets face it your never too old for Lego! Oh no you've really had a week of it with sickness π hope your all better soon xx
I can't wait for the healthy fairy to pay us all a visit, very fed up of the germs now.
Beautiful photos, hope you all feel better asap x
Thanks, me too!
Oh dear, what a bad week for you all! Your photos are still beautiful though. Hope you are all better next week.
I managed to get a few decent photographs, but it wasn't a very inspiring week unfortunately. Thank you.
Goodness! I was nursing a wee man with a temp of 40.2 at the beginning of the week so understand…like you I had to take the time of work…we were both VERY tired. Thankfully he chirped up by the end of the week! Hope you all have a good weekend. Oh and of course the first and last photos rock!
I was exhausted on Wednesday morning, thankfully my mum came over to look after us both for a bit and we both went back to sleep together. Hope your little man is better now too?
Oh no those sick bugs are the worst! I hope you are feeling better. Good photos though in spite of the vomit! Good idea with the Lego, my 18 year old still plays with the Lego regularly. Great shadow photo but I like the cheeky bath shot at the end.
I can cope with anything else, just not sickness! I like the cheekiness of the bath shot too, I think he's back?
Gorgeous climbing frame shot, and I love the adapted Lego box. I hope everyone feels all better very soon.
Thanks, I was originally aiming for a photograph of him playing on the climbing frame but he didn't want to comply; the shadow shot was far more interesting photographically.
You're never too old for Lego!!! We love the stuff… Oh no to be hit by the sickness bug, not nice at all.. I hope you and the Mr start to feel better very soon π x
I don't think so either, how silly of them to restrict the age range to 12! I think we're in for a rough few days with Mr. TBaM, must be sympathetic after he cleaned up my vomit!
And still you got lovely shots from such a rubbish week. I hope Mr TBaM had a great birthday, I'm sure he was thrilled with his Lego set, some of the most successful presents I've bought The Man have been Lego or Airfix kits … boys will always be boys π x
Aww thanks, some of them are ok but I must confess I almost failed the challenge this week! After 3+ years! Poor Mr. TBaM had a non-starter for a birthday, must make it up to him when we're all better.
Lego (and train sets) should never have any age limits on them. Glad you're feeling a lot better now. The pukey bug is awful π
I completely agree that they shouldn't! In fact, most toys shouldn't have.
Who doesn't love Lego- it should have age 4-99 on it! So sorry you have all been feeling poorly – vomit is just the worst :(. Love the last bathtime photo.
It absolutely should have that age on the box, I'm sure it used to?! I like the last photo too, I think my cheeky chappy is back.
Oh gosh what a week especially after The Boy being poorly last week. Stomach bugs are so horrible. I hope you're all feeling better and Daddy is soon too. I love the Lego edit and that first photo is wonderful. Here's to a better one next week π
It's been a very difficult fortnight indeed, looking forward to a bit more well health. This week is already looking better, but we just have to get past the dreaded halfway mark!
Goodness, that bug sounds horrible! Glad you're feeling better now. Gorgeous photos, I especially love the one at the top of The Boy on the climbing frame. Well done for finally having the courage to go up!
It's been a fairly horrendous fortnight but I think we're on the 'up' now! I'm very proud of him for getting to the 'almost' top of the climbing frame, he's really overcome his anxious side when exploring.
Thanks for linking up to Project 365.
What a week! I hope the sickness leaves your house for good very soon. Awful you have both been unwell. Hoping you have a better week next week.
And now Mr. TBaM has tonsillitis! It never rains but it pours, hey?
oh dear at your awful week, sounds really horrendous, hate vomit either for myself or the children, just cant cope with it it scares me stupid for some silly reason
That bath picture is brilliant. Well done on the climbing frame, it is more scary from the watching perspective than being up there.
It has been rather trying, to say the least! I'm dreadful with vomit, can cope with anything else just not that! I'm rather chuffed with the bath picture too, a good end to the week after all.
Ooh we are in sync! I posted a shadow too this week, and that top shot is almost identical to one I have of M on the spider climbing ropes π
Shadow photos are such good fun, especially on these bright spring days.
Oh no to all the illness! How horrid! I love the do it yourself age change on the Lego! Great idea and oh so true. Us adults love Lego as much as the kids. Right?
It was so horrid, I'm really pleased he's on the mend and the washing machine can have a rest!
That bath shot is great fun. Have a fab Sunday, Mich x
Thanks, I love seeing him playing so freely in the bath.
Oh, I'm sorry you've been feeling so rubbish π Here's hoping that next week is sickness free. Changing the age range on the Lego is genius and I love the last photo, that's my favourite x
It does seem to be so far, thank goodness! I'm rather fond of the last photo too, thanks for commenting.
gosh i do hope you hare feeling much much better honey i had a similar bug recently and i have every empathy. I hope you have a far better week next week honey x
We've had a much improved week, keeping my fingers crossed!
What a week! Love the age change on the Lego π
How ridiculous to be restrictive though?
Oh definitely – hubby even loves playing with little man's Mega Bloks!
The Boy never showed even the slightest bit of interest in Mega Blocks which is why I didn't think he'd like Lego.
Lots of great photos. I hope you feel better soon x
Thanks, very quickly recovered thank goodness!
That totally sucks. Well done you for not giving up in the face of severe adversity. And you are so right to take a carer's day. Too often we feel guilty about that. We are needed at home. End of story
Luckily my boss was ok when I went back in, but the all encompassing guilt is dreadful!
Oh no, what a week! I hope you all feel better really soon. I love the first photo! He looks so high up! And the age change on the Lego is brilliant! Seems daft that it is only suitable up to 12 years .. who doesn't love Lego?!
I know, so restrictive right? I do believe that our house is about to become a LEGO shrine, things are taking off!
What a rough week for all of you – hope you're all now on the mend! Looks like the boy's definitely cheering up in the bath shot
He certainly was on the mend then, thanks π
Wow for hitting heigh on the climbing frame.
Belated happy Bday to dad.
I was slightly alarmed with him going that high, but he did it very safely, and I know it's only going to get worse!
Happy Birthday MrTBaM – hope enjoyed his age appropriate lego. Love the picture of the Boy in the bath – he is such a cutie.
Hope you are feeling better xx
They both loved it, Mr. TBaM quickly realised he wasn't going to get a look in with the LEGO!
Loving the cheeky bath time photo, he is so cute :), I hope you are feeling better for the new week x
We've all had a much better week, thank you.
loving the climbing frame picture! and who doesnt like lego!! so true!
Secretly I wanted to be up there with him!
Hope you're feeling better soon. It's whipped through our house this week and into the weekend. Nasty bug.
This time of year is just terrible for bugs, isn't it? Hope your lot is fully recovered too?
Glad that you and the boy are feeling better, hope the Mr feels better soon. Love the photo of the boy in the bath, such a cute shot!
It's very cheeky as well isn't it? Think he's definitely on the mend!
Oh no sorry to hear you've had the sicky bug in your household π hope everyone has a better week next week x
It's been so much better this week, thanks!
There shouldn't be an age limit on lego at all π Hope The Boy has fully recovered now and that Mr TBaM had a lovely birthday π
We went into the LEGO shop earlier and there were sets that started at 16+, so I've no idea what was going on with that packaging.
Bleugh to feeling rough, and hopefully you'll all be back to good health soon.
N doesn't even get past one foot on the bottom of those rope climbing frames, dreading the time when he'll be like yours and scrambling up
This time last year The Boy wasn't past the bottom layer of those climbing frames, watch out because it'll happen soon enough.
Lovely to see the boy at the tip of that climbing frame. I remember when you were nervious of him at the bottom. Where does the time go?
I know, tell me about it! He seems to have grown in confidence so quickly and come on in leaps and bounds!
Oh no! Sorry to hear you've all been poorly, not just the boy's ear infection. Agree about the Lego – ageless!
We all seem to be much better this week, thanks!
Oh gosh, that's a lot of illness to be dealing with. Fair play on the Lego age-change, who says it's just for kids. Thanks for hosting #Project365 – or 52 in my case x
An incredibly amount of illness, luckily it seems to have all ended now, for the moment!
I JUST LOVE YOUR NEW THEME SO MUCH!!!
love the last shot, such a cheeky little chap π
Thank you, I love my new look too, it's so pretty!
So sorry you have had another week of illness – it's horrible when you catch what they have had, especially when they are still so needy! I love that you changed the LEGO age limits!
That's exactly it! My husband had to take the day off work because there's no way I could look after The Boy!
Loving the new look of the blog!! So sorry you have been poorly. Love the final picture…so cute!
Thanks, I can't stop looking at my blog's new look; so clean and pretty!
The new look blog looks fab x
I hope everyone feels much better soon, I love the photo of the boy up the spider web climbing frame well done for taking the photo I wouldn't have been able to look.
Thank you for hosting 365 each week.
Thanks, I'm really happy with it.
I know what you mean about the climbing frame. It is high!
Ah boiled lemonade.. Takes me back – used to that when poorly too.
Love the age change on the Lego.
I was too wary to try boiled coke, not a nice flavour to have coming back up the other way! And yes, that climbing frame is proper high in Roath Park!
Great pictures and feel better soon hon x
Thanks, been a hard fortnight!
You don't need me to tell you which is my favourite photo for the week do you?
So glad the boy is fully recovered and hopefully you have recovered from your horrendous week too x
As soon as I saw the shadow I thought of you!
Hahaha I love the age range change! It made me smile before I'd read the description! Sorry to hear about all the illness, hope Mr TBaM gets better soon xx
Who on Earth decided that LEGO was for only 12 year old children?!
i hope Mr TBaM enjoyed his birthday and i think Lego is for any age really!!
so sorry to read that you have all been feeling ill the last couple of weeks π I hope that you are all feeling muhc better now
Burton has been climbing up those frames to the top for almost a year now and i hate it unti he is back down standing next to me – and now Jenson want to climb eeeeeek!
I really like the photo of him looking at the lights/bubbles, i wa snot able to determine what it is exactly but i like the colours in it
lovely seeing him happily writing by himself π x
Burton has always been so adventurous, but The Boy is getting there slowly bless him. The disco lights in the bath is a small plastic light with dimples all over the cover, the lights change through a variety of colours.
Look at your beautiful boy, so sorry he's been so ill, we've all had it here too, nightmare, sending hugs!
It's a dreadful time of year for bugs isn't it? Hope you're all better too?
Only just π x
Brave boy at the top of the climbing frame. I hope you're all feeling better now.
I couldn't believe it when I saw him scamper up there!
Oh no what a horrible week! Hate sick! Love the handwriting, it IS very very neat, and I have a pic of Teen on a climbing thing like that when he was small π
Thank you, I think he's got very good writing for a leftie as well!
Beautiful photos, I hope everyone is fighting fit this week.
I love the unique angle of the bath photo
We've had a much better week this week, thanks.
