Interview With A Three Year Old

The lovely Emma from A Matter Of Choice, came up with a fantastic idea recently to ask her newly three year old son a selection of questions, and then to ask him the same questions each year on his birthday. Emma tagged a couple of us to take part as we all have boys who turn three within a month or so of each other, and the questions we ask really show off the boys personalities at this stage. Lauren from The Real Housewife decided to video her little boy answering the questions and I loved that idea as it shows the speech development as well as their personalities.

And so here's The Boy in his Interview With A Three Year Old and I must apologise for the length, but he decided to be a banana and I went a little hysterical.

Thank you, I'd had to bribe him with chocolate and reassurances that he could watch it afterwards!

Firstly, this is hilarious, not just The Boy but you.
Secondly, I was expecting him to do an impression of a banana after your comment of "he was being a banana" ha ha!

Charles mentioned a spaceship top in his interview, he doesn't have one either!
Incy Wincy Spider for his dinner is fantastic, as well as Rice Krispie sandwiches.

I've just watched it again and its your laugh thats making me laugh. It's addictive!

I'm so glad you filmed this too. I'm going to show Charles tomorrow x

Thank you, and I hop you didn't mind me 'copying you' in the idea? I thought it was an ideal opportunity to show his speech and mannerisms at this age. I have no idea what goes through their little heads sometimes, their imagination is fantastic.

Ah, so funny I don't even know where to start! I was expecting a banana impression too and was a bit confused! Wish I'd filmed Leo now – might have to do it again although I'm not sure he'd sit still that long!

Brilliant, think I will have to show Leo this later on. He saw Charlies one and had decided he's his new friend and keeps asking to watch it again though!

The 'being a banana' phrase is a little expression of mine to emphasise how silly he was, no idea where it came from. Go on, film him! I did it so that I can remember his facial expressions etc.

Ohhhh this is So CUTE I could have watched for ages! Do you think he has a secret wardrobe filled with Peppa t shirts and trousers with letters on them? He is so lovely!

    • TheBoyAndMe says

I have no idea, he has nothing else in his wardrobe now he's not wearing dungarees anymore so quite possibly! Thank you.

Fantastic, my girls have just sat and watched this with me, and both said "let's watch another one" I know they will keep asking to watch "The Boy" Again. Xxxx

    • TheBoyAndMe says

Oh thank you, I really enjoyed filming it and he turned a dodgy morning around with his comments.

Thank you missus. I am really glad he sang on the video because I love his singing voice, especially when he's reaching for the high notes. Hoping he'll be quite musical.

Thanks Wendy, did you upload Freddy's? I'll have to pop over and have a look. It was a real pleasure to do and made me realise I should vlog him more often!

  5. says

maybe the peppa pig tee shirt is his PJ top??
that was so sweet and informative and it really showed off his lovely personality and character. i must do the same with B next month, if i can sit him still for long enough x

    • TheBoyAndMe says

He doesn't have a PJ top either, the only printed character top he has is a Mr. Men pyjama set handed down from his cousin. Maybe he's trying to tell me that he wants one? Or better still, he's making it all up just like a 3yr old does! Can't wait to see B's next month.

  6. says

This is brilliant! I love that his favourite outside toy is his horse and he loves hoops soooo much he has them three times a day!! Had me in stitches after a pretty rough day so thank you! : ) x
