Have a Galaxy Moment (Competition)

My twitter bio says 'full-time coffee-worshipper'. Only here's the thing, it's not strictly true in the conventional sense. I have cold coffee, and no that doesn't mean I've let it go cold! Think of a frappucino or a coffee flavoured milkshake and you'll be in the right area. The reason for this is because I don't like hot drinks. People look at me strangely when I say this, but it's true. The only hot drink I will have is a hot chocolate, and even then not too hot.

Therefore because I only have hot chocolate as a hot drink, it has to be a quality one. I've tried Green and Black's and it's too bitter for me, own brand doesn't dissolve properly and therefore I have always been a Cadbury's girl. The same with proper chocolate, always Cadbury's. That was until I was pregnant with The Boy and discovered how much more smooth and creamy a bar of Galaxy is than the purple stuff. Somehow, it just tastes richer and more decadent. Therefore I was more than happy to receive this little pick-me-up care package this weekend:

Hey, Kate Takes 5: look at the pretty mugs on the right!

Galaxy have a great range of hot chocolates out at the moment. I know, how can you have more than one? But believe me, they have and their great:

  • GALAXY Traditional Style Hot Chocolate: this delicious hot chocolate is made using the traditional method of adding milk. The specially created powder dissolves quickly and smoothly in hot milk to create a silky smooth hot chocolate drink, without a lump in sight.
  • GALAXY ‘Frothy Top’: the only hot chocolate you can buy with a creamy “cappuccino-style” frothy top, giving you all the luxury of a coffee-shop hot chocolate in the comfort of your own home. Try it two ways… add water for an instant treat, or milk for an extra creamy indulgence.
  • GALAXY Instant Hot Chocolate: the original top selling GALAXY hot chocolate. Simply add water for a smooth and creamy chocolate drink instantly.
  • GALAXY Microwave Chocolate in a Cup: a totally indulgent and luxurious hot chocolate made from lashings of real GALAXY chocolate melted into milk with a dash of cream. No mixers, no powder, just simply pop in the microwave for one minute and melt into hot chocolate heaven.

We decided to make ourselves a treat earlier today with the traditional style hot chocolate:

And so while The Boy slept this afternoon, I enjoyed one of our Galaxy chocolate and fudge cupcakes with the microwave chocolate in cup which was the creamiest chocolate I had ever had, and I will be buying more!

Galaxy is supporting two charities this year: Together For Short Lives (a national charity that gives voice and support to all children’s hospice services which are dedicated to the care of children and young people with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions and their families) and  Crisis (the national charity for single homeless people).

And so proving how generous Galaxy are, they are giving three lucky readers the chance to own a pair of the very pretty Galaxy mugs and a tub of Galaxy Hot Chocolate…

I was provided with some Galaxy products in order to promote the products. My opinions and cake recipe are my own!
